Abstract: Clinical legal education, which has experienced more than 50 years of development, has been playing an increasingly
important role in improving the practical skills of law students. It has been popularized and promoted in local colleges and universities,
especially in the construction of law majors. The importance of clinical legal education is becoming increasingly prominent. Focusing
on the law education of local colleges and universities, the present paper explains the special significance of clinical law education for
local colleges and universities, then analyzes the funding conditions, teacher qualifications, student conditions, and social conditions of
local law majors, and finally explores the path of implementing clinical legal education in local colleges and universities from the
perspectives of the choice of education operation mode, funding guarantee system and operation management mechanism.
